Victoria Park Cafe sits quietly at the heart of Victoria Park in Frome, offering a calm spot to settle with a coffee either before or after a stroll through the park. This café strikes a casual balance between being a relaxed community hub and a convenient stop-off spot, especially for families, cyclists, and locals enjoying the green space around them.

The vibe here is easygoing and welcoming, with plenty of natural light and a covered seating area that looks out onto the park. It’s the kind of place that works well on sunny mornings or gentle afternoons, when you can watch children finding their way through the small play areas nearby or cyclists resting up after hitting the 24 cycle route not far away.

Offering a straightforward menu of hot and cold drinks, the coffee is well-regarded by visitors seeking a solid Americano or a comforting cappuccino. The croissants stand out among the snack options, ideal for a quick treat alongside a well-made coffee. With a selection that includes milkshakes, fruit drinks, and small indulgences like cream teas and strawberries with cream, there’s something to suit a light appetite without needing a full meal.

Locals appreciate the community atmosphere, enhanced by thoughtful touches like activities and toys for children, making it a spot where people can connect at their own pace. For parents with young children, the nearby toilets and spaciousness add a layer of practicality that fits well with park visits. Staff are friendly and laid-back, reinforcing the informal, neighborhood feel.

Victoria Park Cafe is best for those looking to pause in a comfortable, unhurried space during a day spent outdoors or exploring Frome’s town centre, which is just a short walk away. It’s a quiet refuge for families, casual visitors, and anyone cycling through, blending the rhythm of the park with a small but satisfying café experience.

Absolutely delightful place to get a great quality coffee and a super choice of naughty snacks to accompany it. Staff are super friendly, and there is a nice under cover seating area looking over the park. From here a short walk takes you down into the fabulous streets and shops of Frome Town centre.

Stopped here in the park before our explore of Frome to feed the baby and have a snack and drink. We'd parked closeby and I had spotted this place on the map before arrival and wanted to try it out. I love the idea of community run cafes in parks like this! Plus I'd also spotted toilets! The sun was shining, the baby was feeding well, the snacks were lush (strawberries and cream, and a cream tea!) and the atmosphere was lovely. We'll definitely be stopping by again on our next Frome explore.
